World record in steam recovery: 80t/h EVOfuge for Dexco
Dexco Brazil, a leading supplier of wood based panels, has ordered the world’s biggest EVOfuge steam recovery system for the worlds biggest MDF plant in Agudos.
The system is designed for a fiber throughput of 80 t/h and to save more than 10 t/h of steam. This savings will provide multiple benefits for the customer, such as approx. 40,000 tons/year lower biomass need in the plants energy center. In addition to the economical benefits, this will also reduce the plant’s CO2 Emissions by approx. 25,000 tons per year. At the same time, the energy demand of the flash tube dryer is reduced significantly, allowing the customer to increase the plant’s overall throughput.
“We are thrilled to continue boosting plants in South America while contributing to a significant reduction of the plants CO2 footprint. We would like to thank Dexco for their trust, which enabling us to deliver the first Mega EVOfuge steam separation system. We look forward to continuing our strong and trustful cooperation during this successful project“, says Marcos Zamora, Area Sales Director, Sunds Fibertech.
